For most of us, it began with a single, uneasy question, whispered, never quite answered: Is this halal?

You heard the stories. A friend who multiplied his savings overnight. A cousin who lost everything to a coin that vanished. A "guaranteed" project, blessed with the language of the deen, that turned out to be a trap. You wanted to take part in something new and worldwide, but not to earn a single dirham that Allah has forbidden. And when you searched for a clear answer, you found noise: hype from people selling coins, silence from people who did not understand the technology, and contradictory verdicts with no reasoning you could check for yourself.

HaramCoins was born in that exact moment of doubt. We believe a Muslim should never have to choose between their faith and their future, and that no one should be left to guess whether what they hold is pure.

Our mission

To make the Islamic-finance reality of every major cryptocurrency clear, honest, and free, so that any Muslim, anywhere, can understand why a coin may be permissible, doubtful, or forbidden, and decide with knowledge instead of fear.

Why we exist

The crypto world was not built with the Ummah in mind. Interest, riba, is woven into its largest products. Gambling-like speculation is dressed up as "investing." And scammers deliberately hunt communities of faith, because they know how deeply trust runs among us. Billions have been lost. Worse still, countless believers have quietly carried the fear that they earned something haram, without ever truly knowing.

We exist to stand in that gap: to read the code, follow the money, and translate it into plain words a believer can act on, measured against the timeless principles of our religion. No riba. No gharar. No maysir. No forbidden gain.

We would rather give you an honest "we are not sure, ask a scholar" than a profitable lie.
